NRWC Advocacy

The National Rural Women's Coalition has submitted a paper (April 2014) in response to the Australian Government's White Paper which looked at how agriculture's productivity and profitability could be boosted.  A further paper was lodged in December 2014 in response to the subsequent Green Paper which the government produced.  The NRWC is keen to ensure that rural women are given every chance to have their voices heard when decisions are being made in regard to how the agriculture sector can remain a significant contributor to the economy and local communities.

The NRWC recognise Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people as First Nation traditional owners and custodians of country throughout Australia, and their continuing connection to land, sea and community. We pay our respects to them and their cultures, and to elders both past and present.
