Stopping Violence Against Women Before It Happens: a Practical Toolkit for Communities

Australia’s National plan to Reduce Violence Against Women and their children highlights the importance of local, community led action to prevent violence against women before it happens. A practical toolkit was developed as part of the joint project between the Australian Women Against Violence Alliance (AWAVA), the Queensland Centre for Domestic and Family Violence Research and CQ University.

The NRWC recognise Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people as First Nation traditional owners and custodians of country throughout Australia, and their continuing connection to land, sea and community. We pay our respects to them and their cultures, and to elders both past and present.
